This pyramid was deep in the jungle and far from the resort (3 hours). Coba (Cobá in the Spanish language) is a large ruined city of the Pre-Columbian
Maya civilization (which inhabited 50,000 people in 700 AD or so), and we had to walk a mile or so once we got there. We climbed the large pyramid (Nohoch
Mul pyramid), and it was crazy high, and very diffcult to get down. We also stopped for lunch in some dive Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Good food
though. If you look close, you can see Grandma in the orange at the bootom of the pyramid when we were up there.
